Enjoying Your Favorite Foods
Don’t give up on enjoying your favorite food. All you need to do is eat less of it. Don’t succumb to eating a large amount. The main key is moderation. Instead of ten cookies eat five instead of a large cake get half the size. Now I know this is not going to be easy but just try eating less period. You can do this.
Eat some Protein at every meal
Eat all kinds of protein like nuts, beans, egg whites, seafood, lean meats, yogurt and cheese. Eat these for your snacks or meals. Remember protein is the fill up food.
Drink Water – Plenty Of It
Water is the best thing for you, hands down.
So before you go and eat that big bowl of ice cream, STOP and drink some water. It might be all that you need. Drink a full glass and you will want less ice cream.
Don’t kid yourself water is the best thing for you and you should drink as much as you can every day and drink a large glass before every meal with ice. It burns more calories.
Try Eating several Mini Meals a day
Eating light meals or even snacking all day long is not bad if done in moderation. Try eating 4 -5 snacks a day. Studies show that people who do that were able to control their weight better. Plus dinners should be your last meal for the day. But if you must eat something healthy, maybe some nuts.
Order a child’s plate in restaurants
This is a great way to cut calories and limit your portion size. This is becoming the norm in many restaurants
Try using smaller plates, it fools the brain in thinking you have a full meal. If the brain is happy so is the body.
No matter what, Always Eat breakfast !
Skipping breakfast is not good for you, It will make you more hungry later which in turn you will eat more.
If you don’t have time eat some toast or fruits. At least get something in you. Eat a high protein breakfast. Try A high protein diet plan for weight loss. Don’t rule diet shakes, these are very good for you.
Lose your weight slowly
Set a goal to about one to two pounds a week. You didn’t gain this weight overnight and your not going to lose it. Do not set your goal to high. This is reason why people quit on their diet, only do one to two pounds a week.
You will start to see benefits after you lose 5% – 10% percent of your body weight. That’s not very much and you can do it, just set your mind to it.
Do not reward yourself with food, you are not a dog.
Weigh yourself once a week.
People should weigh themselves once a week. But only once a week, Weigh yourself at the same time of day, on the same day of the week, on the same scale, and in the same clothes. If you can, be consistent.
This way you know where you stand when it comes to your weight .
Put Fiber into your Diet
That’s right Fiber it helps with your digestion, constipation, and cholesterol and with your weight loss. woman should get about 25 grams a day and men should get about 38 grams a day. Sources include whole grain foods oatmeal, beans, nuts, and most vegetables fruits.
Time to Clean your Cupboards of fattening foods
You need to get rid of all that junk food. You know what I’m talking about. The chips, cakes and anything that looks like fattening food. Don’t forget the freezer….the ice cream.
These foods are pure temptations and don’t let it get to you.
Sleep – Get plenty of it
This is the most important diet tip out there. Get Your Sleep. Do not become sleep deprived. When your working with all cylinders firing you make better decisions through out the day.
